Westwood High School curling teams
|
Until March 2011, The Hudson Legion Curling Club was the home of the Westwood H.S. curling teams which compete with other high schools in the Montreal area under the GMAA umbrella. Since the 2011-2012 season, the Westwood curling teams are practicing and playing their games at the Whitlock GCC.
The Westwood H.S. curling team won the GMAA playoff championship during the 2007-2008, 2008-2009 and 2010-2011 seasons. In 2009-2010 Westwood H.S. won the regular season championship title.
Starting in November of each school year, the high school team will typically practice once per week. They will then play seven or eight games against other schools such as Royal West Academy, Lower Canada College, Westmount H.S. and others. The schedule of these games can be found at the GMAA website.
